Addis Ababa October 21/2020 (ENA) The Inter-Governmental Authority on Growth (IGAD) mentioned heavy rainfall is predicted in Japanese Africa over the approaching eight days. 

In response to a press launch despatched to ENA in the present day, heavy rainfall above 200 mm is predicted within the japanese coast of Somalia and localized areas in western Kenya.

Average rainfall between 50-200 mm can be anticipated in elements of western and south-western Ethiopia, southern South Sudan, northern and central Somalia, and western Kenya, most elements of Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, and northern Tanzania.

Northern elements of South Sudan, north-western and southern Ethiopia, southern Somalia, central and japanese Kenya, and central and southern Tanzania can even have gentle rainfall lower than 50 mm.

The press launch said that exceptionally heavy rainfall (high 1% on file) is predicted within the north-eastern coast of Somalia throughout the said interval.

Very heavy rainfall (high 5% on file) can be forecasted over north-eastern elements of Somalia, north-western and southern Kenya, and elements of Burundi and Rwanda.

Heavy rainfall (high 10% on file) is predicted over cross border areas of Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia; elements of western Kenya, central Uganda, and north-western Tanzania.

However, a lot of Sudan, Eritrea, central and north-eastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, and north-western Somalia will expertise dry situations throughout the said interval.
