Addis Ababa December 9/2020 (ENA) About 1,000 senior army officers and officers, who had been kidnapped by the TPLF junta on the 4th of November have been freed by an operation performed by the Nationwide Protection Drive and the Federal police.
Nationwide Protection Drive Indoctrination Director-Common, Main Common Mohammed Tessema informed ENA that the TPLF junta had kidnaped some 1,000 senior army officers and officers of the Northern Command of the Ethiopian Protection Drive after inviting them a dinner on the 4th of November.
The fugitive TPLF junta have been working with their hostages for a couple of month until they stored them at a spot referred to as Adet, which was a command base throughout the armed wrestle, he added.
Nevertheless, in a joint army operation performed by the Nationwide Protection Drive and the Federal Police, the senior officers and officers, together with the Operation Deputy Head of the Northern Command, Brigadier Common Adamneh Mengste have been freed with none hurt.
