PM Abiy Ahmed on instability in North Shoa and Kemise

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed urged politicians to work diligently so as not to jeopardize the centuries-old unity of the people.

Responding to questions from members of the House of Representatives today, the Prime Minister said politicians were responsible for the clashes in Kemise and North Shoa areas.

One of the highlights of the 11th regular session of the House of Peoples’ Representatives today was the recent clashes in the North Shoa Zone, Amhara Region, which escalated to Kemise.

He said the people have been together for centuries, not the politicians, but the aggravated conflict, which has resulted in deaths, property damage, injuries and displacement.
